UPDATE: DESIGN CAMP 2020 and COVID-19

Here at the Design Lab at NC State University, we are closely monitoring the status of COVID-19. This is a rapidly developing situation, and as such, we will communicate updates through this page and via email to those registered. At this time, we are able to confirm the following updates:

  • No decisions have been made regarding whether camps at NC State will be able to continue as planned or need to be canceled.
  • At this time, we are still accepting registrations, and still hope to be able to hold camp this summer. We have extended the payment deadline and early bird rate deadline to May 1, 2020.
  • In the event that we have to cancel camps, we will provide full refunds for any fees paid.
  • Design Lab staff have been mandated to work from home and will continue to respond to emails during this time.

NC State Design Camp

Design Camp is a multi-discipline pre-college design program organized by the NC State Design Lab for high school and middle school students. Held each summer, Design Camp informs students about the study of design and raises awareness of the impact of design on all aspects of our everyday lives. The design thinking skills and creative experience gained can empower students on their path toward becoming innovative problem solvers and prepare them to tackle the challenges of the future.
