Bio
Shawna Mabie, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP is an Associate Principal at Hanbury based in Raleigh, North Carolina where she manages projects and strives to build a shared sense of ownership among her team members. With 15 years of experience in the profession, Shawna’s passion for research guides her as she seeks to create architecture that profoundly impacts the experience of users. Shawna previously taught at North Carolina State University and at the University of Arkansas Community Design Center. She served as Co-Founder and Co-Chair for the AIA Triangle Leadership Forum and as the Architect Chair for the AIA Triangle Emerging Professionals and Young Architects Forum. Shawna currently serves as an AIA North Carolina Director where she focuses on programming that keeps Emerging Professionals and Young Architects in the profession.
