Jedidiah Gant is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the College of Design at NC State University, where he blends industry expertise with a passion for creative education. He teaches courses focused on media theory, speculative prototyping, virtual production, design studies, and artificial intelligence.
Jedidiah Gant is a designer with 30 years of experience across many aspects of design; from architecture, public art, branding, technology, and digital media. His work explores the overlap between physical and digital worlds. A longtime advocate for the power of visual storytelling, Jedidiah continues to explore how design can shape identity, strengthen communities, and inspire the next generation of makers.
Before joining NC State, he served as Brand Director for Myriad, helping shape the agency’s storytelling and creative direction for nearly a decade.
As Co-Founder of the Raleigh Murals Project, Jedidiah has been instrumental in transforming Raleigh’s public art landscape, connecting artists with communities to create bold, meaningful works. His career bridges design, branding, public art, and media, with a focus on fostering creativity, collaboration, and cultural impact.
He has worked on design projects with clients such as Google, Carolina Hurricanes, Red Hat, Vans, ACLU, Equality NC, NCMA, UNCSA, Pendo, UNC-Chapel Hill, The Weather Channel, Travel + Leisure, Carolina Performing Arts, Lenovo Software, Dix Park, City of Raleigh, Toyota, IBM, Epic Games and Tito’s Vodka. He is a co-producer and co-directer of The Great Cover Up documentary, now airing on PBS NC.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from UNC Charlotte and a Master’s Degree in New Media from NC State’s College of Design. He has taught media theory in the Media, Arts, Design, and Technology department since 2019.
