Organizations for Design Students

As you and your peers journey through the design life together, and we encourage you to join a student organization that will build lasting relationships while also enhancing your professional skills in design.

Design Council – The Design Council is an interdisciplinary group of students within the College of Design with the goal of enriching and connecting the design student experience through social, community, and industry related events. (Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | Blog)

SASLA – SASLA is the NC State student chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. It connects students in the Landscape Architecture program to the profession through events, lectures, and other activities. (Facebook | Instagram)

AIAS – The NC State chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) is a student-run organization that has been working for the betterment of the Architectural Education Community for over 50 years. AGSA – The NC State Architecture Graduate Student Association (AGSA) is an organization dedicated to facilitating the development of a strong graduate student community within the School of Architecture at the College of Design. (Facebook)

YAF (Triangle Young Architects Forum) – The Young Architects Forum is a subcommittee of AIA Triangle. The Young Architects Forum leadership development program of the AIA College of Fellows. It focuses on professional development, leadership, personal growth and other important subjects relevant to young professionals and interns early in their careers.

Bodies of Art + Design – The Bodies of Art + Design is an outlet for students, faculty, and alumni within the College of Design for Art + Design and Design Studies majors.

Art2Wear – Art2Wear is a student-organized runway show that presents fashion, costume and wearable sculpture created by the students of the College of Design at NC State University.

The Student Publication – Incorporated into a course on design writing, editing, curating and publishing, the Student Publication connects the College community to emerging topics in design education, practice and thinking.
