Melissa Simpson
Bio
Melissa serves as the Director of Career and Academic Advising. Her approach to career readiness is rooted in personalized guidance and practical insights. She understands that every student has unique strengths, aspirations, and challenges. Therefore, she tailors her mentorship to meet each student’s individual needs. She believes in fostering a growth mindset, encouraging resilience, and providing the tools necessary for students to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of the job market.
Working with Melissa, students can expect a supportive and collaborative environment where their career goals take center stage. Together, we will:

Prior to joining the College of Design, for several years Melissa served as Assistant Director of Recruitment and Master Academic Advisor in University College Exploratory Studies. She is very excited to have the opportunity to join the College of Design to support students, faculty and staff.
