Jenny Tiet

Bio

Jenny is the general Academic Advisor of the College of Design. Although she will not be directly assigned as an advisor, she will be providing support to students experiencing academic difficulty and working with student organizations to help the design students feel a sense of community. As a first-generation transfer student and individual who shifted career trajectories several times, Jenny can empathize with the struggle of navigating through university life and finding the correct career path. She welcomes students to visit her at Brooks 225 to talk about their student life, campus activities, or academic experiences.

Prior to joining the College of Design, she was the Graduate Services Coordinator at NC State’s English Department for three years and received the 2021 NC State Award for Excellence as an SHRA staff member from CHASS. She is excited to join the College of Design to support students, faculty, and staff!
