My research examines how visual design shapes cultural narratives of the body, with particular focus on body representation as a site for understanding aesthetic standardization, cultural identity, and power relations. At the same time, my research investigates how Western-derived aesthetic ideals are reproduced and negotiated through everyday design objects, exploring how processes of globalization and localization shape visual standards and contribute to discussions of visual coloniality and decolonial aesthetics.
