Asa Jackson is a doctoral student from Provo, Utah, with a background in Industrial Design, Social Design, and Design Research. His doctoral research explores the benefits and implementation of radically empathetic practices in commercial and governmental design methods, with influences from relevant indigenous and religious cultures.
Asa received his BFA in industrial design from Brigham Young University and an MA in Social Design from Kolding School of Design in Denmark. He has published and presented at conferences including those for the Design Research Society, Design Computing and Cognition, and LearnXDesign. Asa has also worked as a UX and Industrial Designer for various design corporations, educational organizations, and religious groups.
