Bio

Ashley is a Ph.D. student, graduate teaching assistant and graduate research assistant at North Carolina State University.  She has fifteen years of professional experience in soft goods development and fabrication spanning a variety of industries including film specialty costume for major motion pictures (Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), aerospace (Spacesuit Design Lab at SpaceX), fashion, fitness, and custom builds for artists and dancers.  Her research interests include anticipating the social impacts of future health technologies, particularly interfaces of interoception, and scaffolding transdisciplinary ethical dialog alongside health technology development.
