Bio

My research examines how visual design systems reflect cultural narratives across linguistic boundaries, with particular focus on multilingual typography as a site for intercultural communication and decolonial expression. At the same time, my research work investigates Chinese design higher education, examining the disconnect between China’s expanding design PhD programs and minimal international research engagement, and study how policy-driven expansion has created parallel knowledge production systems with distinct methodologies and publication practices.
