Noble McDuffie Travel Abroad Award
Are you a junior, senior or graduate design student planning to travel abroad and would like to experience something very different from a classroom?
This award is a terrific opportunity to “go and do” something outside the norm. It doesn’t matter where you’re going, only that you have a desire to travel, learn and grow by pursuing an active experience of your own interest that’s not directly related to your design discipline. It’s open to any College of Design student who has reached or surpassed their junior year and plans to travel for something other than classroom credit. Alumni Linda J. Noble and Craig McDuffie established the Noble-McDuffie Travel Award to encourage students to go outside the box and elevate their travel abroad experience by participating more than observing. The award is for up to $1,500.
You can apply for this award in PackAssist. Please complete the application and essay explaining the “go and do” opportunity you plan to experience in the event you are selected for this award and how this award would allow you to achieve it. It does not matter if your travel opportunity is an independent trip or an extra trip during your study abroad, as long as it is to take part in something that you think will broaden your view of the world.
Please contact Jenny Tiet with any questions at jtiet@ncsu.edu.
