Art2Wear is celebrating its 16th year as a student-organized runway show that presents fashion, costume, and wearable sculpture created by students of NC State Design.
Students in ID 300 recently entered a sustainability-focused design challenge sponsored by Cradle to Cradle, where students learned the importance of considering the environmental implications of bringing products into production throughout the design process.
Each year AIA Triangle recognizes the important contributions architecture students make to the world through the AIA Scholarship and design competition. To date AIA has awarded $53,000 to architecture students at the College of Design.

NC State Design alumni Rodney Swink FASLA, PLA attended the Habitat III Conference in Quito, Ecuador where attendees adopted the New Urban Agenda (NUA): a document proposing actions for how to continue sustainable urban growth.
NC State Design supports and encourages efforts that provide students opportunities that go beyond the classroom. As part of a collaborative studio, Laura Ott [BID, '16] partnered with Lowe's to design a storage solution that is now being sold in their stores.

The Department of Landscape Architecture here at the NC State Design just received final reaccreditation status from the Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) for the First Professional Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) program! The reaccreditation team that visited in Feburary 2016 found that the program meets and/or exceeds all LAAB accreditation standards.
