Bio

In 2014, Mustafa completed his BFA in Graphic Design at Ataturk University in Erzurum, Turkey. Between 2010 and 2017, he worked with international sports and culture organizations, companies, and non-profit organizations by creating graphic design projects, designing digital and interactive experiences, and leading branding and visual communication processes. He also contributed to many graphic design exhibitions generally related to social issues through his designs and his roles in the organizing committees.

In 2018, he completed his Master’s Degree in Graphic Design and Visual Experience at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). His Master’s thesis investigates the relationship between design and culture, and it proposes an online archive website that collects formal, historical, and cultural attributes of a visual design.

In 2021, he started his Ph.D. education in the College of Design at North Carolina State University (NCSU). Currently, the topics he is interested in and exploring are Artificial Intelligence in Creative Fields, Computer Vision, and Creativity. He is the lab manager of the Mixed Reality Lab at the College of Design where he develops Virtual Production, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Interaction Design projects.
