Ijeoma Njaka (she/her/hers) serves as the Senior Learning Designer for Transformational and Inclusive Initiatives at the Red House and the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics at Georgetown University. In this joint position, she specializes in arts-based approaches to inclusive and anti-racist teaching, curricula, and faculty development. She also teaches courses on critical speculative design, immersive performance-based dialogue, and enduring meaning through the arts. A two-time DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities fellowship recipient for her artistic practice, Ijeoma holds an MA in Learning, Design, and Technology from Georgetown University as well as an AB from Brown University. Research Interests:
Ijeoma’s research centers on the transformative possibilities of arts-based encounters and experiential learning design in higher education at pedagogical, curricular, and institutional levels.
