Bio
Elysé Girard (she/they) is a communications strategist and design director, whose work focuses within higher education and academic research libraries. Elysé’s practice uses an intentional intersectional lens to combine content and design to build inclusive and accessible research and learning experiences. She is currently the Executive Director of Communications and User Experience at the University of Virginia.
Research Interest
Elysé’s research works to understand and further define the use of empathy in the design process to achieve intersectional design solutions that bring design justice and work towards decolonizing design.
