Agnes Gambill West

Bio

Agnes Beatrice Gambill West is an author, designer, and associate professor with a decade of experience in publishing, scholarly communications, intellectual property law, and technology design.  She has led transformative projects that bridge research and technology, and has been published in the Wall Street Journal, The Hill, CoinTelegraph, and in leading academic journals.  She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the North Carolina Innovation Council, appointed by the Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives.

Research Interest

Agnes’ research interests include decentralized social networks, alternative payment systems, emerging technology in media and publishing, technology design, and creating new markets for the research ecosystem.
