Master of Advanced Architectural Studies program announced

The School of Architecture at North Carolina State University (NC State) has launched a new post-professional degree program. The Master of Advanced Architectural Studies (MAAS) provides opportunities for specialized study in leading-edge areas of the built environment, and a platform to explore solutions to the crucial issues of the 21st century.

The College of Design recently received a generous donation to fund a new study abroad experience in Rome, Italy for spring 2021. While finalizing the details last year, the COVID-19 pandemic continued to increase in severity, ultimately putting a stop to the in-person experience. But that setback ended up setting up the college for a virtual experience that brought increased accessibility to all.

The student team of Grace Polo-Wood, Ben Stradling, Myiam Nestor, and Taylor Ligon have won the Annual NCMCA Sigmon Memorial Scholarship Design Competition at North Carolina State University.
