Professor of Architecture Patrick Rand, FAIA, DPACSA, is one of the first NC State recipients of a Fulbright Distinguished Chair Award. The award is highly competitive and considered one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world. He will be teaching + conducting research at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland.

Alumni Team Wins Global Architecture Competition

Sarah Dickerson and Jessica Braverman, two NC State Design alumni, were part of a team recently awarded first place in the 15th annual Perkins+Will Global Design Competition. The Global Design Competition is an internal Perkins+Will challenge created to engage young design professionals throughout the firm’s 20 international offices and to encourage provocative and imaginative design.

NC State has been invited to join the fourth cohort of the Design & Health Research Consortium established by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture.
