Printing Information

wolfprint logo

Users print to the IT Lab and Cluster printers using the University’s WolfPrint system.
More information is available at go.ncsu.edu/print/.

Users may install printers on their own computers.

Users may also use the University’s WolfPrint FollowMe printing system on some of our printers. FollowMe printers are only useful for simple black and white or color documents that don’t need any customization. Users send files to a generic print queue and retrieve their job and any FollowMe printer by swiping their ID card. More information is available at go.ncsu.edu/print/.

IMPORTANT:
When a print job is sent, it must be approved by the user at go.ncsu.edu/wolfprint.
Print jobs not authorized within 5 minutes will disappear.

Please read this page before installing printers on your own computer.

Please read the Printing 101 handout for tips and information on efficient printing.

Users will need to add money to their AllCampus account at print.ncsu.edu in order to use printers. Log in there using your Unity ID and password. Visa and MasterCard are accepted or you may add money in person at the West Dunn Building.

If your print job(s) did not print and/or you wish to dispute a charge, go to go.ncsu.edu/print. Log in there using your Unity ID and password. Select Recent Print Jobs, and identify those job(s) by the the Date, Time and Cost shown. On the right end of each job listing is a link to request a refund. Click on that and fill out the brief form that follows. Users can see complete details of each print job at go.ncsu.edu/print. The College of Design IT Staff no longer handle refunds for print jobs. OIT staff now handle refunds.

Some Important Notes:

  • You must have a positive balance in WolfPrint print credit or AllCampus account in order to print.
  • WolfPrint printers are installed on IT Lab and Cluster computers and are ready to use. Instructions for adding printers to your own computer are available from the right of this page.
  • You should continue to prepare your print jobs for efficient printing by keeping file sizes and image resolution low. Take a look at the Printing 101 Handout for tips on efficient printing.
