Capabilities of College of Design WolfPrint Printers
There are over 20 public printers in the College of Design Information Technology Labs and Clusters. These printers use the WolfPrint system. This page provides information about each printer’s options and capabilities. You can use this information to decide what printer you need to use. There is a chart below which outlines each printer’s capabilities.
Laser Printers
Current Model: Ricoh SP C840dn
- Pricing – Color queue: $0.50 (Letter), $1.00 (Tabloid)
- Pricing – B&W queue: $0.25 (Letter), $0.50 (Tabloid)
- Only 8.5×11 (Letter) and 11×17 (Tabloid) paper available
- Standard paper is 20 lb. recycled bond
- For Manual Feed (“Bypass Tray”): Only use laser printer-compatible paper
- Color reproduction and two-sided registration may not be precise
Large-format Inkjet Plotters
Current Models: HP DesignJet T1300 & HP DesignJet Z5600
- Pricing – Color option: $1.60/sq ft.
- Pricing – Greyscale option: $1.20/sq ft.
- Limit shorter dimension to 44″ or less
- Standard paper is 24 lb. coated bond
- Use standard sizes (such as ARCH D, etc.) rather than custom sizes when possible
- No two-sided plots
- Color reproduction may not be precise
Special Printers Available
Film printer: Exile Technologies Liberator XE 1812
- For screenprinting
- Pricing: $3.00/linear ft.
