Printing from Windows – IT Lab and Clusters

Note:
You must authorize print jobs using PCClient Software on the desktop or use the web client: go.ncsu.edu/wolfprint.

Click here for more information about authorizing print jobs.

Printers are not installed automatically on the Windows side of IT Lab and Cluster computers. This significantly reduces the amount of time it takes to log in to Windows.

If you need to print from Windows, you’ll find an icon on the Desktop, WolfPrint Printers.

STEP 1: Double-click to open this icon and find a list of all our printers.

STEP 2: RIGHT-CLICK on the printer to want to use.

STEP 3: Select CONNECT to install the printer.

STEP 4: Wait a few seconds for the printer to install.

STEP 5: Open the Start Menu, then select Devices and Printers.

Open Start Menu, then Devices and Printers

STEP 6: The printer will appear in the Printers and Faxes section of this window once it has been installed. It will also now appear in the Print dialog window of any applications you need to print from. Open the application now and print normally.

NOTE: If you already had the print dialog box open, you may need to close it and re-open it before the printer will appear in the list.
