\u201cThis is an extraordinary accomplishment, and I could not be prouder of Annie\u201d said Tsailu Liu, head of the Department of Graphic Design and Industrial Design, and Professor of Industrial Design. \u201cThis process was competitive, and the caliber of the students chosen to win awards reflects Annie\u2019s place among the nation\u2019s top industrial design students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA) annually recognizes exceptional student design talent through its Student Merit Awards program. This national competition seeks to highlight the very best creativity, problem solving, and design brilliance in each of IDSA\u2019s five North American Districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students are chosen for demonstrating tremendous talent and breadth of skill, and embodying the industrial design program they represent. Being selected as an SMA winner is a significant achievement and instantly positions each of these individuals at the top of their graduating class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
