Kathryn Wozniak is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Industrial Design with a focus in product and sustainability.
Kathryn earned a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Auburn University and a Master’s Degree in Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University.
Prior to coming to NC State, Kathryn spent ten years designing products for corporations such as Boon Inc., Tectronic Industries (TTI), and Electrolux, as well as medical devices for a design firm BlackHägen Design. Her product portfolio includes a wide variety of baby products, home appliances, electronics, and other consumer goods. Thanks to her experience managing projects overseas, Kathryn sought a master’s degree in sustainability to couple the two disciplines that she is most passionate about.
Kathryn spent two years teaching industrial design as a Faculty Associate at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at ASU while also working as a senior product designer at Boon Inc., in Tempe, Arizona. She now works as a design consultant and coaches her clients about the competitive advantages of a sustainable business model.
