Bio

Frank Werner graduated from Missouri S&T Rolla, MO with a BS in Engineering Management/Civil. He has spent more than half his life in Raleigh, NC with his wife of 27 wonderful years, Sandra, and their son Chase.

He started his construction career with McCarthy in St Louis & Little Rock as an estimator and project engineer. He moved to Raleigh, NC to start the McDevitt & Street Raleigh office as a project manager, and later went on to project management for JM Thompson. After learning the construction industry with hands on experience, he decided to pursue a career in the construction product industry. Frank started with Adams as an architectural rep calling on architects in North Carolina and Virginia. After a few years Butch Hardy promoted him to Architectural Sales Manager. From then on Butch was his mentor as he pursued opportunities up the corporate ladder with Adams. He took on additional responsibilities as Director of Marketing, working his way up to Co VP of Sales & Marketing with Brett Hardy. As the military buildup in NC was beginning, Frank took on a new role focusing his energy on Design Build firms coming to North Carolina from across the US.

He took an active role with CCMA as a committee member & marketing chairman. He joined the NC State College of Design as a board member supporting architects, alumni, and Emeritus Dean Marvin Malecha. With the support of CCMA and Professor Pat Rand he started the NC State/ CCMA Blockfest which partners the industry and the college in educating the student about the advantages of masonry and hardscapes. This competition has spread to 7 universities across the US through the NCMA unit Design Competition. He increased his involvement on the national level by joining NCMA as a committee member, residential chairman, design build construction task force chairman, marketing chairman & unit design competition chairman.

Through the 25 + years of experience within the construction industry and Butch’s guidance, Frank made the decision to join the CRH Americas, Inc. team as Director of Business Development. This opportunity was the perfect fit allowing him to utilize his experience, drawn on the many solid relationships built over the years within the construction community, the masonry and hardscape industry and CRH Americas to bring opportunities to all the CRH Americas Business Units.
