Scrap Trap Drives!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea behind the drive is that 1-2x a semester, we will have a scheduled &#8220;swap meet&#8221; style scrap drive. The few remaining scrap traps will be wheeled out of hiding and placed in designated locations for a periodic amount of time. Students can exchange materials during the designated times and then what remains at the end will be trashed\/recycled and scrap traps will be removed again until the next drive. The crux is that these will be short periods of time (1-5 days) and hopefully will not result in the full on accumulation of trash that the entire semester yielded. There is no cost to use the site, but you must obtain a letter of permission from Waste Reduction and Recycling if materials are being delivered in a personal vehicle. All materials must be sorted into the proper roll off containers at the site. Materials may not be removed from the site, only delivered. Some of the acceptable materials for this site include brick, wood, plastics, cardboard, aluminum, and steel.
