Centennial Campus Precinct at NC State University is a globally recognized research hub that facilitates collaboration across disciplines, bringing together NC State’s academic and research experts with industry leaders, governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations. Students collaborated on a project that explores key themes: connectivity, health, walkability, ecological and economic sustainability, technological innovation, aesthetic appeal, and resilience, all within the context of mixed-use development on a higher education campus.

The project focuses on envisioning the next generation of higher education campuses, studying the interactions within the urban environment as it builds upon Centennial’s innovation ecosystem. Students developed a comprehensive framework addressing diverse needs of the community and stakeholders, offering a holistic vision tailored to the site and fostering long-term, equitable solutions.
