Historically, designers and scientists have studied biomimicry separately. But what would happen if the two groups combined their research processes to explore functional biodiversity? A group of biologists and designers from the Museum and NC State have been asking these questions as they research ants. Come find out how design and biology are working together to advance their knowledge of, and to derive human applications from, these six-legged insects!
Explore the architecture, sculptures, and public art around NC State’s main campus and in the D. H. Hill Library, with a guided tour from a NCSU Libraries expert. In addition to exploring campus on a beautiful spring day, the first 20 registered attendees will receive a wine tote.
