Currently, he serves as Director of the Stage Properties concentration at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Kris has worked with some of the top theater and entertainment organizations across the industry including Santa Fe Opera, Shakespeare Santa Cruz and National Black Theater Festival, as well as on the national tours of \u201cMemphis the Musical\u201d and Disney\u2019s \u201cBeauty and the Beast.\u201d He has also collaborated extensively with award-winning visual artist Elizabeth Alexander including an installation at the North Carolina Museum of Art.<\/p>\n<h3>Research Interest<\/h3>\n<p>Kris is interested in exploring the semiotic and cultural roles that props play in theatrical productions.
