Previously, she owned a bakery where she designed and prepared cakes and cookies from scratch. She started her career in finance.<\/p>\n<p>A New Orleans native, LaShana draws inspiration from the architecture, music, food, and the melding of French, Spanish, and Caribbean cultures that are integral to her home city. She earned her B.A. from Xavier University and her MBA from Meredith College.
