PLUS, the <strong>winning entry also receives $250.00 in prize money.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The competition is <strong>open to ALL College of Design students<\/strong> <em>(enrolled in undergrad or graduate programs)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>RULES (<a href=\"https:\/\/design.ncsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Sleigh-the-Holiday-Card-Competition-RULES.pdf\">download the rules<\/a>):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submitted Designs must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holiday-ish but, not religious, can be inspirational<\/li>\n<li>Memorable! (not something that is immediately thrown in the trash!)<\/li>\n<li>Clever in construction; something that they may open, close, fold\u2026*<\/li>\n<li>Include the theme of <em>Design for Life<\/em> \/ <em>Designlife<\/em> with some type of holiday \u2018flavor\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Include the NC State College of Design logo and conform to brand compliance**<\/li>\n<li><strong>Entries must be submitted by November 1<sup>st<\/sup> @ 10 a.m.<\/strong> (Format: PDF; email to: <a href=\"mailto:CollegeofDesign@ncsu.edu\">CollegeofDesign@ncsu.edu<\/a> with Subject Line: Holiday Card Submission; include full name and any additional context around your submission that you feel is relevant.)<\/li>\n<li>All mediums are acceptable; however, the entry needs to be printed* (traditional method)<\/li>\n<li>Entries must conform to either Option 1 or Option 2 layouts* (see below)<\/li>\n<li>You do not need to include the &#8216;greeting\/ message&#8217; for the card;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>JURY SELECTION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A jury of faculty and staff of the College will review all (blind) submissions to select a winner.<\/p>\n<p>Winner will be announced on or before November 10<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>* Submitted designs must be set up to be printed using either Option 1 or Option 2 layouts; Highly encouraged to use InDesign for the project, however, Illustrator may be considered if setup is print ready<\/p>\n<p>**Entries will not be judged on brand compliance, however, winning entry will need to comply.<\/p>\n<p>Winning entry: All native files (images, fonts, program files) need to be submitted by November 15<sup>th<\/sup> and remain the property of the College.
