Additionally, many outdoor play spaces overlook nature \u2014 a powerful agent in children\u2019s healthy development. NLI, a self-funded organization housed within NC State\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/design.ncsu.edu\/\">College of Design<\/a>, works to solve these problems by helping communities create stimulating, natural places for play, outdoor learning and environmental education that recognize human dependence on the natural world.<\/p>\n<p>With 20 years of research and implementation under their belts, NLI founders,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/naturalearning.org\/dr-nilda-cosco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nilda Cosco, Ph.D.<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/naturalearning.org\/robin-c-moore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robin Moore, MCP, Hon. ASLA<\/a>, are using WolfWare Outreach to teach educators and designers to promote, create and manage new types of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/naturalearning.org\/OaklandDeclaration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nature-based learning environments<\/a>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/delta.ncsu.edu\/marketing-outreach\/wolfware-outreach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WolfWare Outreach<\/a>\u00a0is DELTA\u2019s enterprise-level learning management system to offer non-credit, fee-based online courses. Cosco and Moore teach\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/naturalearning.org\/professional-development\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NLI\u2019s two certificate programs<\/a>\u00a0in WolfWare Outreach to share their knowledge, fund future research and maximize the organization\u2019s impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are so many people that want to know about nature-based play and learning spaces.
