There\u2019s so many different cultures and ways of life that I wasn\u2019t exposed to, coming from such a small town.<\/p>\n<h2>What was one of your favorite parts of your program?<\/h2>\n<p>Meeting new people and being able to explore the city.<\/p>\n<h2>What advice do you have to future study abroad students?\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-8824\" src=\"https:\/\/studyabroad.ncsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2019\/01\/Shea-Edwards-student-spotlight-2-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>Don\u2019t be nervous because you blink and it\u2019s like the whole trip is over. Also, try to experience as much as possible while you\u2019re there.<\/p>\n<h2>How did your study abroad experience prepare you for your future career?<\/h2>\n<p>Since Prague is a very popular location for architecture students, I knew the architecture in Prague would be outstanding. I think it definitely prepared me for my future career in that sense, but it also forced me to get out of my comfort zone and meet new people.<\/p>\n<h2>Were you surprised by anything during your time abroad?<\/h2>\n<p>That we were staying in a hostel, and they don\u2019t typically use ice in Prague.<\/p>\n<h2>How were your classes abroad different than if you would have taken them at NC State? Did you take any field trips or do anything outside of the traditional classroom?<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-8823\" src=\"https:\/\/studyabroad.ncsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2019\/01\/Shea-Edwards-student-spotlight-1-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>We were able to run around the city to check out different attractions for our projects which was super interesting.
