Design Studies Oriented Re-design Proposals
Project Overview/Scope
This course enables students to explore foundational design methods and gain experience curating research in a presentable format that effectively communicates the goal.
- Students were asked to make a poster illustrating a redesign for the library, and complete a 3 – 5 minute presentation of the poster.
- Projects were printed out on a 24 x 36-inch glossy photo poster.
- Canva/procreate and other software were used to design the posters.
- Posters contained the ideation processes, concept statements, prototyping, a final design solution, and a summary of findings.
- Images such as mockups of the space, sketches, renderings, floor plans, and more were provided.
Project Teams
Each student worked in groups of 3 – 4 to present both a draft poster and a final poster containing re-design propositions.
