Arthur J. Clement Graduates

Arthur J. Clement, the First African American to graduate from the School of Design, graduates with a Bachelor of Architecture. He is a retired First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Over the past twenty years, Art has completed numerous campus heritage studies. Mr. Clement currently serves on the advisory committee for the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s HBCU Cultural Heritage Stewardship Initiative. He also served on the board of trustees for the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
