Digital Media Assistants serve in the DH Hill Library’s Learning Commons, Digital Media Lab, and Technology Sandbox are involved in a wide variety of interesting, resume-building work. Assistants provide help to faculty, staff and students in using equipment and in converting, editing, and saving all forms of digital materials. They create library-oriented media including posters, photographs, and web pages. Assistants also teach recurring workshops on a variety of digital media tools and topics. Works closely with Learning Commons staff in support of computer activities in the library.
Experience in some combination of digital media tools including: *Adobe Creative Suite *3d modeling tools (Maya, 3D Studio Max, Blender) *Movie editing (FinalCut, chroma key compositing) *Sound editing (Audacity, GarageBand, Soundbooth, Audition) *Video hardware (DV/DVD/VHS transfer, AVCCAM, format conversions) . Experience in consulting, teaching or tutoring is desirable. Work schedule to depend on your availability.

Internship submissions Guidelines
(Deadline for Spring 2013 resumes – November 3, 2012
):A resume and cover letter should be submitted to the Curator of Education, Zoe Starling
, by no later than November 3, 2012
. The cover letter should identify: • Why are you applying for an internship at the Gregg Museum and what you hope to gain? • What areas of the collection are you interested in? • What special skills do you have that would be an asset to the Gregg? (i.e. data entry, sewing, knowledge of digital photography, research skills, etc…) For more information about intern requirements please click here: Intern Requirements
. Once submissions have been received, Gregg staff will review and set up interviews. Decisions about internships will be made before open enrollment is over.
